'cause it was better than Fifty Shades of Grey in somethings, and worse than it in somethings. Def will purchase it when it comes out on DVD. It went by fast, was a fun movie to see & like the books, I was sad it was over. That's why if you ?Christian & Anastasia's love story then you will absolutely enjoy this movie. In any case, I enjoyed this movie much more then some of the critically acclaimed movies that I went to because of the critic's ratings. this isn't supposed to be an academy award nominated movie, if you want that, then def see Lion, ( which absolutely deserves to win for best picture). Maybe they just don't understand the premise of this beautiful unique love story. I'm not quit sure why the critics are so harsh. Would have maybe touched base with the psychiatrist as a character in the movie so you could truly understand how much emotional effort Christian is making to change for the better. Great job with the screenplay because trying to get everything from the book into a 2 hour movie would dilute the story too much, so I understand why certain characters or stories were left out or changed. It had all of the romance, emotion, suspense & of course the sex that the first one lacked. Great job with the screenplay because trying to get everything from the book into a 2 hour movie would Really enjoyed Fifty Shades Darker? & overall thought this 2nd in the trilogy was done nicely. Throughout it, words across the screen read: "Every fairytale has a dark side." The trailer drives the point home.Really enjoyed Fifty Shades Darker? & overall thought this 2nd in the trilogy was done nicely. ![]() The concept of Fifty Shades stands on its own without life-threatening thrills, and it's those thrills that are heavily played up in the new trailer. Audiences weren't attracted to it because of an initial romance-thriller pairing, which has been a staple in horrors, thrillers, and romances since the start of time. And while I understand sex and horror are a great match, because hormones, I just hope the film still gives the audience what it wants: sex, sex, more sex - and a touch of romance, obviously.įifty Shades of Grey is a huge phenomenon largely because the franchise helped make BDSM more mainstream - though the book's depiction of the subculture is far from accurate. One of them is Christian's former lover and stalker Leila Williams (Bella Heathcote), who's lurking throughout the entirety of the trailer. A handful of frightening outcomes are introduced as the result of Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia's (Dakota Johnson) romance. From the looks of the new extended Fifty Shades Darker trailer, the sequel seems to match sexiness with thrills (none of them cheap, by the way). I have a feeling fans who rush to the theaters on Valentine's Day to see Fifty Shades Darker will get a different experience than their $17.69 ticket bargained for. ![]()
